The Easat EP1643 dual or single-drive
turntable pedestal is a high-specification turning unit designed
to operate in severe environmental conditions, with minimal maintenance
requirements.
The pedestal
is designed to rotate S-band Air Traffic Control or air defence
radar antennas, with co-mounted Large Vertical Aperture (LVA)
Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) antennas, in high winds
and icing. It is also used for Coastal Surveillance Radar
and large L-band en-route radar antennas when in a radome.
