| EA7401AS Stacked Linear Array
EA7401AS is a dual antenna designed
for combined sea and air surveillance. It is ideal for coastal surveillance
radar applications where monitoring of air targets is required.
The antenna consists of two linear
arrays stacked on top of each other. The lower array has inverse
cosec2 elevation radiation pattern to -40º, providing excellent
coverage of sea surface. The upper array has cosec2 radiation pattern,
suitable for tracking air targets.

Operating in the marine and port X-band,
this antenna uses techniques developed from cellular radio technology
to provide a unique combination of RF performance, compact size
and low weight.
The antenna provides azimuth resolution
of about 0.32º, whilst transmitting both long and short pulses.
The short pulse capability of < 40 ns enables excellent resolution
on very short range targets, performance not possible with conventional
large slotted waveguide antennas.
Unlike slotted waveguide antennas,
the EA7401AS antenna azimuth beam pointing angle is independent
of RF frequency, therefore this antenna does not suffer from beam
squint with change in frequency, making it suitable for dual diversity
and frequency agile systems.
The EA7401AS antenna is available
with either fixed circular or fixed horizontal polarisation.
